A mother of four herself, and a veteran of the police force for seven years, the youth of Police Officer 2 Rina dela Cruz Salaya of Maasin Municipality hides a steely determination to pursue justice for the sake of her community.

 

 

The biggest lesson from PO2 Salaya’s tour of duty is that police efficiency can, in fact, curb the instances of abuse and increase the community’s trust in the law.

 

Among the most notable operations she handled are child and women’s abuses.

 

Public service is also a deeper concern for PO2 Salaya, who participates in no less than seven neighborhood-oriented community activities in her area of responsibility.

 

Pulis Ko, Teacher Ko brought the police to the town’s schools, inculcating in them the values of patriotism, children’s rights, and the importance of becoming law-abiding citizens.

 

Adopt-A-School brought the spirit of Bayanihan to life in Maasin, encouraging the donation of policemen and women of their valuable time in renovating school buildings ruined by a recent typhoon. She is mkarried with 4 children
