 Police Inspector Arnel Solis (COP, IVISAN MPS, CAPIZ) led the arrest of 27-year old Joenel Lastimoso and 26-year old Kristian Tan last August 7, 2008 in Poblacion Sur, Ivisan, Capiz.
The two are suspects in the fatal shooting that resulted that in the death of Martin Roxas, radio reporter of Radio Mindanao Network (DYVR).On August 7, 2008 at about 1:30 pm two unidentified persons riding in tandem in a black motorcycle fatally shot Martin Roxas at Bayot Drive, Roxas City.PINSP Solis and elements of IVISAN MPS conducted hot pursuit operations against the suspects. At about 2:45 pm of said date, the operatives flagged down a black motorcycle but was ignored by the suspects.
The operatives chased the suspects and were cornered at Ivisan Public Market. The suspects were brought to IVISAN MPS  and further investigation disclosed that Joenel Lastimoso has a pending warrant of arrest for Violation of RA 9165 or the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Last August 13, 2008, members of the panel of inquest prosecutors constituted by the city prosecutor of Roxas City find probable cause for the crime of murder against respondents, Kristian Tan and Joenel Lastimoso and recommend the filing of corresponding information against them. The suspects are presently under the custody of Roxas City, PS.
