In commemoration to the PNP Police Community Relations Month, the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations (DPCR) will conduct its Bike for Peace Campaign on Sunday morning, July 24, from different points of area to EDSA People Power Monument where all the contingents shall converge at seven o’clock in the morning.
The Bike for Peace Project will be participated by members and personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), other government agencies and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) particularly the members of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) to drumbeat the project’s peace advocacy. Eight (8) contingents are likely to travel twenty (20) kilometer (km) distance from seven (7) different points of origin. Assembly area for PNP National Headquarters (NHQ) and National Support Units (NSUs-Crame based) personnel AFP contingents will be at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, while 7 other participants will be coming from the respective PNP Offices of National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Headquarters at Bicutan, Taguig City; Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Headquarters at Camp Karingal, Quezon City; Northern Police district (NPD) Headquarters at Caloocan City; Eastern Police District (EPD) Headquarters at Pasig City; Manila Police District (MPD) Headquarters at UN Avenue, Manila; and Rizal Provincial Office of Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A at Taytay, Rizal. After the convergence at EDSA People Power Monument, contingents will proceed to PNP NHQ Grandstand, Camp Crame for a short program that will be spearheaded by Honorable Jesse M Robredo, Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) together with the PNP Chief Director General Raul M Bacalzo and AFP Chief of Staff General Eduardo SL Oban Jr. |
