It there is one who takes pride in being scourge to abusive husbands and child molesters, SPO1 Anuary is one. Throughout her career, she has consistently championed the cause of equal rights for women and children, earning not just the gratitude and respect of the victims she saved or helped, and the praise and admiration of the community at large for her competent, professional and dedicated police work. Her list of achievements includes the first documented case of child trafficking in Zamboanga City. Many of her other sensational cases often receive extensive media coverage, with at least one landing among the top stories of a national TV news program. Her exposure and established reputation as a no-nonsense investigator has indeed helped pave the way for more women to speak out and draw the line against abuse, with victims now confident in reporting cases of molestations and other gender-related crimes to the police.

In addition to her success in the frontlines, SPO1 Anuay ably supplements her efforts by engaging the community in conceptualizing and executing prevention strategies to help curb crimes against women and children. Her active involvement in the Kiddie Cops Information Drive, visiting schools and giving lecture on the rights and privileges of minors, especially females, as well as her leadership of the Committee on Child Protection of the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children in her locality and her partnership with concerned stakeholders in the government and the private sector in the city, have collectively ensured that the safety, security and welfare of women and children will not take a back seat in the affairs of the community.
