Women’s and Children’s Protection Desk Investigator, Police Station 6 General Santos City Police Office
After going through an assortment of jobs in the business sector, PO2 Sañado finally found her calling in law enforcement when she joined the PNP in 1997. At only 34 years old, she is just at the dawn of her career, by all indications, though, she is surely starting in the dawn of her career. By all indications, though, she is surely starting in a blaze of glory, with at least four medals of merit and efficiency as well as almost 30 commendations both from police hierarchy and local government authorities, honoring her exemplary achievements thus far as a police officer.
Over the ten years, her records in the crime solution reflects some of the more significant achievements of the police in trying to promote and protect the rights of women and children, including those referred to as Children in Conflict with the Law. In focusing her talent and energies in pursuing serial rapists, incest sex offenders, and pimps, PO2 Sañado has helped turn the tides against abuse and exploitation of women, especially minors, from the clutches of prostitution and a life of hopelessness and shame. In he stints as WCPD Investigator, she has helped bust illegal recruiters who are involved in white slavery and human trafficking, thereby preventing the further deterioration of gender-related criminal activities. In addition, in her involvement against the widespread distribution and availability of illegal substances through seminars and counseling in her capacity as Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) Officers has met the appreciation and gratitude not only among drug dependents and their families, but from the entire community as well. Her active membership in religious community certainly continues to serve her well in her personal and professional undertakings.
Before becoming a full-time and dedicated police officer, PO2 Sañado completed undergraduate work to earn a degree in BS Business Administration, major in Accounting, from the Mindanao State University. She is a native of General Santos City. |
