While relatively young in her law enforcement career with just over eleven years of service, PCInsp. Galero has achieved much more than what many of her male colleagues can only aspire for. On top of numerous medals and commendations from the PNP, she has also earned recognition from the civilian sector, highlighted by the award she received from the Zonta Club of Makati as one of the Ten Outstanding Police Women of the Philippines in 2006. Her special expertise in the delicate science of forensic evidence has also earned her regular stints in TV, and has made her fixture in court hearings as an expert witness.

As Chief of the Scene of Crime Operations (SOCO) of the SPD Crime Laboratory Office covering the cities of Makati, Parañaque, Las Piñas, Taguig and the municipality of Pateros, she has handled more than 800 death cases as team leader and duty senior supervising team leader, at least 22 of which are considered sensational cases. More than the body of scientific knowledge she has acquired over the years and her technical training in the cutting-edge technology in her field her discipline and dedication to her craft has made her a cut above the rest, as ca be gleaned in her work in the recovery, processing and documentation of casualties for three straight days as a result of the police siege in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig after inmates led by Abu Sayaf rebels attempted to break out. In addition, her passionate advocacy for greater appreciation of the value of forensics not just among her peers but for the general public inspires her to share various communities with wealth a wealth of information that will allow ordinary citizens to become crime responders, in the process strengthening relations between the police and the community.

Originally from Samar, PCInsp. Galero has established residence in Taguig, Where she lives with her daughter. Aside from a Bachelors degree in Criminology and Masters degree in Public Administration, She also completed Law studies at the Jose Rizal University in 2005.
