Investigation and Police Community Relations PNCO Police Regional Office 12, General Santos City Police Office Barangay Labangal, General Santos City
PO2 Javison’s seven-year career as a police non-commissioned officer (PNCO) exemplifies the meaningful collaboration between law enforcement authorities and the community. In the course of his involvement in many successful operations against criminal elements, PO2 Javison’s ability to mobilize the support and cooperation of local leaders, coupled with his expertise in analyzing and utilizing intelligence reports provided by community informants, played a key role in the accomplishment of law enforcement objectives. These include the arrest of murder suspects, drug pushers, and members of robbery and cattle-rustling gangs, as well as maintenance of harmonious relationships between potentially tense religious factions in the community.
Aside from organizing and revitalizing civilian volunteer organizations in at least three barangays in his area of responsibility, PO2 Javison also conceptualized and organized at least two sectoral civilian volunteer associations, the Makar Riders Against Crime Volunteer Organization and the Makar Wharf Civilian Volunteer Organization. While the first translates his own passion for motoring into a force multiplier with more than 200 members who own or ride motorcycles, the second is also involved in cleanliness and beautification projects in the city’s wharf area. He also revitalized the PNP Council of Community Elders, which strengthened and expanded the intelligence network in the community, and organized a school- based anti-crime volunteer network that helped significantly reduce the incidence of gang wars and drug addiction among students. His networking initiatives among members of religious groups likewise helped facilitate their active involvement in the war against drugs in the community.
A native of South Cotabato, where he continues to reside with wife Maria Glena Rose and their two children, PO2 Javison holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Mindanao State University. |
