Executive Senior Police Officer General Santos City Police Office Camp Fermin G. Lira, South Cotabato
What the hotel and restaurant industry lost, the PNP heartily gained. SPO4 Escaro, a graduate of BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management, owns the proud distinction of having served our people through the PNP for the last 31 years. His record in crime solution reflects some of the more significant achievements of the police in trying to curb the drug menace, from the eradication of large-scale marijuana plantations – one with crops worth at least P19.5 million – in the hinterlands of Sultan Kudarat, to buy-bust operations that netted the notorious pushers and drug lords. His leadership in the implementation of Oplan GreenGold resulted to the destruction of more than 25,000 fully grown marijuana plants and 45,000 seedlings.
He also scored dramatic successes in neutralizing criminal elements, including members of prostitution and gambling syndicates, as well as bombing suspects. In many of these successful interventions, partnership with the community and the local government played a key role, from gathering of information to negotiations during actual police action.
Just as importantly, Executive SPO4 Escaro has parlayed his impressive credentials into an expanded role in the fight against drugs. For the past two years, he has made the rounds of Drug Abuse Resistance Education or DARE Program to speak to elementary students on the evil of drugs. He has also brought this advocacy work to the community by conducting seminars to residents, volunteers and the youth about drugs and other illegal substances.
A native of Sultan Kudarat, SPO4 Escaro is married to the former Judith Pedrajas, with whom he has four children. |
