POLICE OFFICER 3 ANNIE ROSE DENUNA ALVARADO Print E-mail
alvaradoPO3 Annie Rose Alvarado is currently assigned as Legal Investigator, Police Community Relations Officer and Desk Officer of the Women’s and Children’s Desk of the Police Anti-Crime and Emergency Response (PACER) in Davao City. Her professional service record of more than 7 years id replete with outstanding achievements, including a “Gawad Kadalubhasaan”, an award of excellence for having obtained the highest rating in academic proficiency, attendance, aptitude and physical fitness in her Public Safety Junior Leadership Class in 2001.

PO3 Alvarado’s dynamic roles as negotiation adviser, surveillance operative, legal investigation team leader, special reaction operative and legal investigator in many occasions led to the successful resolution of kidnap-for-ransom (KFR) and other criminal cases, in the process of contributing to the improvement of the peace and order situation in Mindanao Oriental. Among her accomplishments is the neutralization of international and Indonesian terrorist Fathor Roman Alghozie, the rescue of a Canadian national from the hands of a KFR group, and the arrest of notorious KFR elements and the recovery of their kidnap victims, among others. She also helped implement Project Sunrise, an intelligence and community relations project that led to the surrender of ten members of the Abu Sayyaf Group and helped convert Basilan into a safer community not just for its residents, but also for visitors as well. PO3 Alvarado likewise initiated the establishment of Kinder Cops in one of her previous areas of responsibility, which helped engender respect for the law among the youth and enjoin their involvement in the effort to maintain peace and order in their respective communities. Lastly, she was instrumental in the conduct of seminars on anti-kidnapping with various sectors of the community and with the help of an NGO, gives free counseling services to children in situations of war and conflict.

After earning a degree in Philosophy from Ateneo de Davao University in 1992, PO3 Alvarado took and finished her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Mindanao in 2000, and is currently taking her Masters in Industrial Counseling. A native of Davao City, she recently earned a meritorious promotion to Police Officer 3 by virtue of her distinguished achievements as a member of the PACER Crisis Management Team.
