Senior Police Officer 1 Mapandan Police Station, Mapandan, Pangasinan
After a year in the Philippine Military Academy, SPO1 Antolin shifted gears and joined the now-defunct Philippine Constabulary, undergoing Basic Recruit Training in Magalang, Pampanga. Fifteen years and a handful of awards, medals and commendations later, the decision proved to be well advised as he was named the Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned officer, national level, in the year 2001.
Currently detailed with the Operations Section of the Mapandan Police Station as Senior Intelligence Operative as well as Administrative PNCO, SPO1 Antolin was in the forefront of organizing Barangay Intelligence Networks and other liaison projects to solicit the assistance and involvement of members of the community in the promotion and conduct of peace and order initiatives.
In this capacity, he played a crucial role in gathering information that became bases for successful operations against lawless elements and criminal gangs in the province. Through his efforts, the PNP also scored substantial victories against insurgent groups operating not just in Pangasinan but also along the boundaries of nearby provinces such as Zambales, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac. These operations resulted to the capture or death of CPP-NPA regulars, recovery of high-powered firearms, and the confiscation of voluminous subversive documents. Aside from helping build up intelligence reports, he was also involved in a number of police interdiction activities that effectively neutralized illegal drug and gambling syndicated and rounded up loose firearms. An active environmentalist, his community-related advocacies include tree-planting and clean and green programs.
A graduate of Metro-Dagupan Colleges with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, major in Mathematics, SPO1 Antolin passed the licensure examination for teachers (LET) in 2000. Just 34 years old, he has a two-year old daughter with spouse Violeta Garin. |
