Station Commander Balintawak PNP Assistance Center, Police Station 1, Central Police District Honored as the Police Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year during the 12th anniversary of the Central Police District last October 2002, SPO4 Medina truly exemplifies the best of PNP. Aside from being an effective and dedicated law enforcer, he is also a respected leader in the community and in involved in various socio-civic projects, a feat attested to by at least 39 medals, awards and citations as well as 80 letters of commendation from various government officials and public as well as private organizations.
In his two-year stint as Detachment Commander, SPO4 Medina and his men have arrested more than 300 persons who are wanted by the law for various offenses. Numerous police interdiction operations under his leadership have also resulted to the neutralization of criminal gangs and the apprehension of notorious individuals involved in snatching, robbery/holdup, and illegal gambling, among others. Both in his area of assignment and in his own community, he organized nightly security patrols to help maintain peace and order, particularly to prevent the distribution and use of illegal drugs. Indeed, because of efforts and achievements of SPO4 Medina and his men, Balintawak has become a relatively much safer place fro residents and visitors alike. In addition, he regularly conducts dialogues with community leaders in either locality not just to further his work as a law enforcer, but in fulfillment of his various socio-civic responsibilities. As a result, among the awards he has received are the PNP Police Relation and Good Conduct medals.
SPO4 Medina obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the East, where he also graduated from elementary and high school. Born in Caloocan, the 40-year old Manileño has four children with spouse Carolina. |
