Twenty members of the police force, consisting of 12 commissioned officers and eight non-commissioned officers, underwent a rigorous screening process for the final round of the Metrobank Foundation Search for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS). Up to 10 finalists will be chosen as this year’s COPS awardees and will receive their award in Malacañang this month.
“The 20 finalists are really extraordinary. When I read over the documentation of the finalists, I feel there are many policemen and policewomen in the country who are good and who are really doing their best for the service of the people,” said Justice Edilberto Sandoval, Presiding Justice of the Sandiganbayan, who co-chaired this year’s Final Board of Judges, along with and Pangasinan Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil. Joining them are key personalities representing different sectors of society.  L-R: PSBank president Pascual M.
