Last July 5, in celebration of the 15^th Police Community Relations Month, with theme: Matatag na Pagkakaisa ng Pambansang Pulisya at Mamamayan Tungo sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran, the Philippine National Police (PNP) gave plaques of recognition to the three institutions responsible for the Search for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS): PSBank, Metrobank Foundation and Rotary Club of New Manila East. They were recognized for their “invaluable support and remarkable contribution to the PNP to uplift the morale and welfare of its members thru the annual search for COPS.”

Seventeen policemen and women from all over the country made it to the final selection phase of the 2010 Search for Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS), a recognition program undertaken by the Metrobank Foundation, Rotary Club of New Manila East and PSBank, in partnership with the Philippine National Police.

It was a tough job but somebody had to do it. Members of the Selection Committee of the Search for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS) chose 17 finalists who will vie for the 10 prestigious and sought-after slots this year.

Nominations for this year’s Search for the Country’s Outstanding Policemen in Service (COPS) have been extended until March 1, 2010 to enable more leaders of various sectors nationwide to nominate model cops serving in their communities.
